CTCN opportunity: Call for applicants for secondment programme

This opportunity is presented by the Climate Technology Centre and Network, a member of LEDS GP.

The Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN) Secondment Programme is offering two rotating secondment positions and is currently accepting applications for Autumn 2016, with an application deadline of 29th May 2016. Selected secondees, representing the Centre’s network, NDE, consortium partner, and/or CTCN donor institutions are invited to participate in the work of the CTCN Secretariat in Copenhagen, Denmark for a period of 4 – 6 months.

With more than 150 network partners all over the world, we build bridges between technology solution providers and countries’ identified technology needs. CTCN’s Secondment Programme provides a great platform for network members and partners to be exposed to a different working environment with people from varied cultural backgrounds while deepening their knowledge and understanding of how it operates”, said CTCN Director Jukka Uosukainen.

Who should apply?

Interested candidates currently employed with CTCN partner institutions (Network members, National Designated Entities, Consortium Partners, and/or CTCN donors) who hold an advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) and have a minimum of two years of working experience in the field of climate technologies and/or the facilitation of technology transfer. Proficiency in the English language (spoken and written) is a prerequisite. Working knowledge of another UN language is considered an asset. Both gender and geographical balance will be considered in the selection process.

How to apply?

Applicants for the CTCN Secondment Programme should submit the following by Sunday, 29 May 2016, Midnight, Central European Summer Time (CEST):

  • Completed and signed Personal History Form
  • Motivation letter (1 page)
  • A copy of passport

Applications should be submitted via email by organization’s CTCN contact person to ctcn@unep.org. Only applications submitted by the CTCN contact person of organization will be considered eligible.
