UNFCCC-GHG Inventory Data

3pm, October 06th, 2015

GHG Inventory Data collates greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories from Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

Under the provisions of the UNFCCC, Parties to the Convention submit national greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories to the Climate Change Secretariat.

The GHG data reported by Parties contain estimates for direct greenhouse gases, such as:

CO2 – Carbon dioxide
CH4 – Methane
N2O – Nitrous oxide
PFCs – Perfluorocarbons
HFCs – Hydrofluorocarbons
SF6 – Sulphur hexafluoride

as well as for the indirect greenhouse gases such as SO2, NOx, CO and NMVOC.

On this site, you can access inventories, and GHG profiles.

A GHG profile is a 2-3-page summary of most representative GHG data (at the level of national totals, major sectors and sub-sectors) for a Party or a group. It contains a data table and graphs with trends for GHG totals; sectoral changes in GHG emissions; and GHG shares by gas, by sector and by category.
