Green growth e-learning

2pm, July 23rd, 2015

The green growth on-line e-learning facility takes an integrative, multidisciplinary approach towards promoting environmentally-sustainable economic growth. Moreover, the facility is designed to educate participants about the most innovative, cost-effective approaches to green growth. Structured around a series of interactive training modules, the curriculum encourages participants to actively reflect on the ways a green growth strategy can be adapted to their home country. The modules will enable:

  • The introduction of green growth as a solution for addressing the development challenges facing countries in Asia and the Pacific.
  • The familiarization of participants with appropriate tools to measure emerging environmental/economic/social issues in the region.

The various training courses, presented by the Green Growth Best Practice Initiative (GGBPI), offer participants a set of interactive and visually appealing modules. Certificates will be issued upon successful completion of each module, and after submission of a case study documenting examples of policies and actions related to the topic in question. Participants will be coached by an on-line trainer, and will have access to an on-line reference library with readings and video materials on low carbon green growth and the economics of climate change.
