Public-private collaboration for urban resilience – Resilient Cities webinar

Both cities and the private sector wish for closer collaboration, but are faced with various obstacles in the path. Cities are challenged with understanding bidding processes and proposals, while the private sector struggles with complex or inflexible government structures within the city their operate. Bridging the gap is not easy, but has proven to be effective in achieving sustainability and resilience targets for cities like Tshwane, South Africa. This webinar, from the Resilient Cities webinar series from ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability, explores the relationship between the public and private sector in building urban resilience, highlights success factors in effective public private partnerships, and shares examples of how cities can best utilize public private partnerships to enhance their resilience.
