Case summary

The Sri Lanka Climate Fund (SLCF) is a public private partnership under the Ministry of Mahaweli Development and Environment.

The SLCF helps enhance the access to climate finance by providing fundraising services to firm working on climate change mitigation and adaptation projects; develops proposals and manages climate change mitigation and adaptation projects; develops and adapts market based instruments to mitigate climate change to achieve nationally determined contributions agreed by Sri Lanka; and works with domestic policy makers to advocate renewable energy and energy efficiency policies, where needed, to incentivize clean energy generation or clean technology penetration among other activities.
