LEDS LAC CoPs

Electric Mobility Community of Practice

The Electric Mobility Community of Practice was born in 2018, in face of the growing interest of the LAC region in transitioning towards electric mobility. It is an interactive network of more than 120 members of national and subnational governments, academia, businesses, nonprofits, consultants and media from 17 countries (14 of the LAC region). The CoP seeks to involve transport experts in climate action; assist cities and countries to overcome barriers in their transition to electric mobility; increase the visibility of initiatives for the electrification of transport; and promote synergies and articulation between transport sector professionals throughout the region, in pursuit of the promotion of electric mobility within LAC. The activities of the Electric Mobility CoP include technical assistance for transitioning to electric mobility in the region; case studies development; online training for CoP members and peer exchange; and hosting webinars.

Priority Areas

The priority areas of the CoP are:

Planning for electric mobility adoption
Electrification of public transit fleets
