This report is the conclusion of BioEthanol for Sustainable Transport (BEST), a four-year project to demonstrate the use of bioethanol in cars and buses. The program studied bioethanol from economic, technical, social, environmental, and sustainability perspectives. One finding is that bioethanol is well suited as an important part of the future fuel mix.
