LEDS GP is proud to share the 2020-2021 work plan

The LEDS GP 2020-2021 Work Plan constitutes a road map for the upcoming LEDS GP activities. Its elaboration benefited from wide consultation members via the regional platforms, working groups and global secretariat. It combines ambition and realism and clearly spells out deliverables for the upcoming year. It is intended to push forward global climate ambition and innovation while adapting to the current world crisis through local, regional and global action and a peer-based approach where practitioners/members are at the center of setting priorities and designing activities that fulfill their needs.

Through the LEDS GP peer-based network, practitioners from around the world exchange knowledge and inspire each other, access technical support, participate in joint collaborative projects and programs, and are able to voice their climate efforts. Our central challenge include staying focused on core priorities while providing response to the new unfolding landscape.

This work plan outlines specific activities and deliverables as well as performance metrics in order to achieve the overall vision and goals set out in the Strategic Vision 2017-2020. It also accounts for changes that are necessary in the program in face of COVID-19 and the new directions of the LEDS GP set out in the preliminary Strategic Vision 2021-2025 (under development).

This work program was intended to be an annual work program for 2020. However, due to the global pandemic and emerging needs from our members, we have adjusted our activities for the remainder of 2020 and early 2021 to accommodate for new activities to address the green economic recovery, postponing some workshops to next year and transitioning several activities from in-person to virtual formats. 

We wholeheartedly invite our members to review this work plan and share your comments to secretariat@globalclimateactionpartnership.org . We hope you are able to join several of the planned activities. Please feel free to share your thoughts on other activities and needs for support you would like to propose.
