Resilient Cities webinar series

This webinar series, from ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability, looks at key themes from Resilient Cities 2015, the global platform for urban resilience and climate change adaptation. The series anticipates new directions and innovations in 2016 and each webinar features experts and local government practitioners in the field of urban adaptation and resilience.

Webinar 1: Urban resilience and adaptation at COP21

This webinar focuses on the urban resilience agenda of the Conference of Parties in Paris (COP21).

Webinar 2: Inclusive and resilient urban development

This webinar focuses on examples and lessons learned from working with residents living in informal settlements/slums with the aim of reducing their vulnerability to disasters and including them in the urban resilience plans.

Webinar 3: Public-private collaboration for urban resilience

This webinar explores the relationship between the public and private sector in building urban resilience, highlights success factors in effective public private partnerships, and shares examples of how cities can best utilize public private partnerships to enhance their resilience

Webinar 4: Risk transfer and climate insurance at the local level

This webinar examines risk reduction and risk transfer strategies for cities through a global expert opinion and a local government view.
