2pm, October 05th, 2015

The State energy efficiency policy database is an interactive library that enables users to view energy efficiency policies for individual American states.

For each state, users can view details regarding:

  • customer energy efficiency programs;
  • funding for energy efficiency programs;
  • standards and goals for programs;
  • business models and reward structures; and
  • the role of energy efficiency as an energy resource in the state.

Users can also view the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) scorecard results for each state. The scorecard examines six energy efficiency policy areas:

  1. utility-sector and public benefits programs and policies;
  2. transportation policies;
  3. building energy codes;
  4. combined heat and power;
  5. state government initiatives; and
  6. appliance efficiency standards.
